ACCOMMODATIONS FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
If you have business with the Court which requires your presence at one of its Branches and you need an accommodation because of a disability, please contact the Court at the telephone number below for the Branch at which you will be appearing. The Court requires notification in advance for certain accommodations (such as a sign language interpreter). Please contact the Court as far in advance as possible to request an accommodation.

Beginning on January 16, 2015 Court Clerks will no longer be able to provide assistance by telephone to the general public. The public is encouraged to go to the court website, monocourt.org, to get assistance. The public may also submit requests for assistance by mail, fax, or e-mail.

Any requests submitted by mail should be addressed to: Mono Superior Court, P.O. Box 1037, Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546.

Days & Hours of Operation: The North County Branch is open from 9:30 a.m. to noon and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on non-holiday Tuesdays only.
   
Directions:

From southern California:

State Highway 395 north to Bridgeport Courthouse (historic white building, located on the north side of Highway 395). Distance from downtown Los Angeles is approximately 355 miles. (Distance from Reno, NV is approximately 115 miles.)

   
Disabled Access: The North County Branch provides elevator service to its courtrooms and offices on the second floor.

However, the court customer counter will only be open to serve the public half days based on the following schedule:

On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the Morning the Customer Counter will be opne from 8:30 a.m.to 12:30 p.m.

On Tuesday and Thursday in the Afternoon the Customer Counter will be open only from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.


Days & Hours of Operation: The South County Branch is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays.

State Highway 395 north to Mammoth Lakes exit, Hwy. 203. Distance from downtown Los Angeles is approximately 305 miles. (Distance from Reno, NV is approximately 170 miles.)

DAYS CLOSED

Unfortunately, due to budget cutbacks in addition to th eholidya below, the Mammoth Lakes Courthouse will be closed on certain days that normally would have been Court business days. The copurt closure days will be unpaid furlough days for court staff.

The following is the list of normally court business days that the Court in 2015 will be closed:

January 16, January 30, February 13, February 20, March 12, March 13, April 3, April 24, May 15, May 22, June 5, June 26.

The court is closed on the following holidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • Independence Day
 
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday
  • Labor Day
 
  • Lincoln's Birthday
  • Columbus Day
 
  • President's Day
  • Veterans Day
 
  • Cesar Chavez Day
  • Thanksgiving Day and the Friday thereafter
 
  • Memorial Day
  • Christmas Day
If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the court is closed on the preceding Friday; if a holiday falls on a Sunday, the court is closed on the following Monday.
